Beautiful Crafts of Tohoku 東北のよいもの

先日、東日本大震災から５年を迎えた。

私にも、気軽に続けられることはないか、と思い、
毎年、自分のお小遣い(わが家は、夫婦とも、お小遣い制。少額です）で、
なにかを買って、紹介することにした。
長く続けられることを重視して、
あえて、普通のお買い物、という形にした。

今年は、南部鉄器。
ところが、世界的に人気が上がっていて、
品薄で、送られてくるのに、かなり時間がかかってしまった。

When 5 years passed after Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami,
I wondered if I can support them some way.
Then I decided to buy something from Tohoku every year and introduced it.

This year, I chose Nanbu Takki Iron Pot.
Actually it got so famous in the world that harder to get now.

及源の万用鍋。アウトドアにも使え、蓋は別っこに鉄板でも使える。Oigen, Iron pot.

こちらは、遠野で買った、竹細工。
Also I bought rare bamboo basket when I traveled there last time. It is originally made for seeds keeping, so they put wood skin between bamboo bones.

種を入れるものだそうで、木の皮が貼ってあるため、細かいものも入れられる。Bamboo basket from Tohno, famous Japanese fable village.

 東北の人は、手先が器用で、実直で、腕のいい職人さんが多く、美しい工芸品が多い。
大切に、使わせてもらいます。
People in Tohoku are said hardworking, skillful, so there are so many beautiful crafts and products. I wish that they recovered circumstances and last the tradition.
