Thanks for coming!

As seeing the story of yesterday, I look funny sometimes.

For me, it is just natural expression of happiness, ashamed, or comfortable,,,

But my partner thought it is funny and imitates whatever I do. "I did not make such a face!" I got upset every time.

Actually Haruto imitated me, too. Even it is the action of a little lovely kid, I do not want to accept it,,,

However, Haruto's imitation of my dad is extremely catching his character! Maybe Haruto might be right,,,

Haruto is good at drawing caricature. He drew me on the first page of my exhibition guest book. He looked up my face before he finished drawing,,,

and added a big mouth. Yeah, mine is big,,,Check it out if you go to the exhibition. Does it look like me?

On Sunday, I hit the second hand market in front of Marui department store.

I found ¥1000 micro mini skirt. I would not able to wear when I became mom. I have to wear it right now! I bought it.

I showed off to my partner on skype yesterday. He tried not to laugh for a while and said,,,

"You resemble O" O is a dog in my parent's house.

Oh, God. Was I too excited? I did not want to look like her.

The cook, the thieve, his wife and her lover

I hadn't gone to see movies until junior high school since I lived in superb with no movie theater. I started to go to the center of city by subway and bus, and one day my friend invited me to watch "Little thieve" staring by Charlotte Gainsbour-it was my first French movie. It did not have complete story and ended all of sudden. I was thrown into the wonder after movie. Still it remained as big impression.I got to know there were movies that I did not understand everything but that I could just enjoy the world that movie shows. Before that movie, I watched the preview of "The cook, the thieves, his wife and her lover" and I had wanted to see for a long time.

Finally I got to see it last week. It was beautiful movie with music by Michael Nyman and costume by Gortiez but I did not get it what it meant. Food, sex, violence,,,I could see they were symbols of something,,,I looked up and found that the column telling "that is the strong message against politic at that time.

Food appears as the ingredients. Duck with feathers, dead goose decorated on table, ruined fish and warms. It reminds me the Gothic oil paintings of still life. One of desire, eating is wild and unsophisticated however they tried to hide.

The boy washing plates was symbol of innocence in the term of Christianity. The lover read books-he symbolised wisdom and culture. Those elements consisted movie as characters and showed some message. But all messages were still metaphors and the watchers had to read the meaning-it is like Brueghel's paintings.
I hit the question "if we need the message in the picture books" when I came back to Japan. One editor advised that we did not need any heavy messages in the picture books. I was surprised since I got education that the most important was author's voice in US. I gradually understand both could be right. In everyday life, moms did not want kids to feel messages. At the same time, the author's voice that they want to tell makes the book strong. Those different ideas comes from the difference in culture and individualism between two cultures. How could I find the answer to such a big issues?
Now I saw so much social issues every day. So much news from all over the world then I feel that it is the task of the authors and artists who tell the stories. In such a days, people need story not just news and facts. Through the history, Shakespeare did, Picasso did, and Chaplin did. They were sometimes stronger. What are the authors and artists doing now? I felt I should study and think more all the time.

I became 36 years old on 9/24. I was called "around 40" in Japan. I am not happy about that since it includes 44 and 35 into same pocket.

Anyway, it was my birthday and I got birthday discount for movies in my neighbor. So I went to see Ariettie, living on what was borrowed.

Ariettie's original story comes from English children's story, "the Borrowers." In this movie, the director brought the place to modern Tokyo superb. They said that they live on what they borrowed, but actually they steel from human beings. But I started to wonder who decide what belongs to whom. It is only human being's rule. All the creatures are living on what are borrowed from the nature and survive and finish their lives. Even we gain in legal ways, if it is more than what we need, is it really right things to do? Things makes our life richer and colorful-favorite color bag, dress only for special occasions, and beautiful pot for special tea-Ariettie's family made up their colorful life under the floor. It must be so painful to be forced to leave to give up their precious life. It happened to lots of people through the history in the term of war or conflicts. The wealthy life is not meaning the expanding their possession as much as possible by power.

I went to Fujikyu Highland-it is an amusement park famous for their horrified rolled coasters. It was really crowded and we had to que for 3-4 hours to board one coaster. Many people were too tired to stand. Some new couples had nothing to talk and kept quiet. We carried a book and read aloud one by one to kill the time. I recommend to bring quiz book or knowledge book for conversation.

Too long waiting made us forget even excitement before the board. Finally being settled into the seat and I suddenly started to feel fear. It was too late.

Actually it was more than expect and I was pulled right and left, down and up, got some Adrenalin coming out

On board I had some moment I could see the beauty of the scenery,,,it was very unusual experience. I noticed I got spilled afterward. I looked up after I went home. We got dopamine-brain hormone on rolled coaster. It was the same hormone as shop-horic or gambling. I could see some unexpected excitement I got from the ride. It was planned very carefully to estimated how much fear is proper for the human being to get the ecstasy. If it is more than enough, people will faint out or just get sick.

What makes one's fear is not always same. My partner got fear when he face down and sloped down fast

And I was so scared of the less tightness of the guard. I almost cried on the simple swing in the high place.

Many people are looking for their life partners. But I heard no news they found the right ones. Talking with them, I feel that they asked too much for their future partners. My friend said, "do they think how big they are! They must be unmature. The best thing to get old is to know themselves." She was so right.

She continued, "Teenagers thought they know everything in the world. They think themselves as the best woman in the world and they can ask for anything to their partners. It was just because they are young and cute that they are so poplar. They are still empty inside."

It is true that I have lots of "should be" things when younger. The youngers had lots of complex, too. They do not have much inside possesion from experiences yet, so they tend to judge what they have at that time and they are so limited. Appearance, possesion, and their own limited world rules and senses. They think their life is over just because of bold legs. Unfortunately it is destiny of everybody that the youth will disappear. The youth is beautiful, but it is not
more than a part of development.

Of course I missed the youngerhood sometime, but I do not want to go back. I am happier, now. After 20 something, we are in the society and we start to face on what we gain-what we study, what we experience, what we make effort. Now we know the bold legs did not kill our life. We can make our life richer by ourselves-We can make friends, we can do business, we can support somebody and we can love. We know we are still unmature and developing, that's why we accept who the others are. Anyway we ourselves are not perfect.
Anti aging is good as meaning of "keep young, healty energetic." But if it means "not accept getting old" it is the same as unmature. If we live on good life, we should be proud of being older.

I carry much stationary with me. Pencils, pens(waterproof and non-waterproof), eraser, sharpner are fundamental. In addition, I need brush, dip-pen and pen top, cissars and cutter, scale and color pencil and pens,,,, It ends up the big mess in my bag. But usually the fashionable bland pen case is too small and hold only one Mon Blanc and one mark pen. Cheap big bag has no character. First of all, I put some pencils-it gets dirty. I need some organised structured pencase-then I made it.

Like this, I can put all what I need. Very handy!

Roll it up and carry. It might be too big for business woman's bag though.

I put bear in white. It does not show because it is always hidden when they use.

I had assignment of report about latest anti-aging health care from woman magazine and I took two medical care for anti-aging.

As for age, I think the speed to get aged depends pretty much on individuals. Some middle age people get so much physical problem all over the body, on the other hand some 90 something people are still active. My grandmother in my father's side lived until 99. I met her youngest sister who was 80 at that time, and she ran after cars to see off everytime somebody left-very energetic and young. All my grandmother's sisters (they were 5 of them) live up over 90. I heard that people in Okinawa has gene to live long. Is the life length depending on our genes?

It is also up to the way of life style. My grandmother done all house keeping all by herself until 90-she got heart attack. She did not know any scientific knowledge about "do proper exercise" "eat this, not eat that" things, but remembering of her, she always keep moving in her pace.

She is cooking every day. I accompanied her to sit down on the kitchen floor and peel the vegetable skins. She kept garden nicely. Then she had nap when she felt tired.

She scrubbed the floor of house from this end to the other end every day. It is actually good exercise I notice. The reason why old time people are healthier is they use their muscles daily life, never allow their feet waken and keep their blood circulation normal.

Wherever I go to hear the anti-aging medicare, the doctors told me that the key word is "to keep blood circulation smooth" "to avoid low fever, activate the immune system. " As a result we
increase the natural ability to defeat every kinds of disease or virus. It is not easy for everybody to pay for the expensive anti-aging medication , but it is worth same to keep health by caring their own body in every day life for free. My grandmother's way of life is a kind of model for cheap long healthy life. It can be because they did not have much and their life was not convenient as ours. One doctor said the interesting things: "the function that people do not use is going to retard." It could be important to keep stressing on the body.

I used to smim in NY. At that time, I noticed how good exercise it is and I feel I shold swim when I thought about exercise all the time.

I started to swim after 4 years blank. I had been swimming 3 times a week , 1 kilometer, until 4 years ago-when I was down psychically. Once I was down, the chemical and cold water was hard for me. I was afraid 4 years blank but I swam OK.

I am not good at sport at all generally (Fortunately I did not notice it until I became adult) Technically I am terrible, but I have enegy to keep swimming, running and walking.

In my hometown, they thought that kids had to do some sports after the class. It was still a part of playing and I did not take it seriously about my not development even after training. I noticed recently by joining badminton cup invited by my friend. I could not hit the shuttle and my shuttle did not reach the defender's coat. I felt sorry for my partner.

I could not score over 100 in bowling. It is fine to do by my self, but if somebody said "Let's do group games" I will be so afraid to distroy the games.

I played golf once. My club never hit the ball. I standed at one place to swing the club forever. "this is the hardest sports" I thougt. I could feel that I won't make progress after some training from this first trial.

I feel scared to game sports. I am OK about being lost, but my being bad at sports destroy the atmosphere of people. For me, to keep doing forever such as swim forever, is the best sports. I am very happy to be fine to swim again.

40

My partner had his 40th birthday. "I already spent half of my life,,," he said and he dislike to hear the number 40. For me-a member of long life family, 40 is not the middle of the life and gave him the card marked big 40 and the novel titled "40" He showed his complicated thank you face. Anyway, birthday is always good things even we got older.

I finally bought a sawing machine. I have wanted one for a long time and for a year I was looking around, trying many in various shops. This brings me the life surrounded by what I like. Economically it is impossible for me to purchase whatever I like for my interior such as designer's bland products, but I would be so unhappy if I bought all the interior from cheap discount shops. If I handmade the sofa cover, cushion cover, table clothes and so on, I can keep my original fashionable life(I cannot say it is cheaper than discount shop. They are too cheap now).
I can make original goods, too. First, I tried to make book cover.
